Is there a way to autoboot Windows 7 at a specific time?

Is there a way to tell my Win7/64 computer to boot up at a certain time?  A tech guy i had in my home one time set that up for me on my old XP machine and I love it!  That way, if a client calls me before I've woken up and I have to get to work immediately, i'm not stuck waiting for the computer to boot.  It automatically boots up at 6am every day.  Is there a way to make this happen in Windows 7?

This is partly dependent on the computer itself I believe, not Windows, certain motherboards support the option of having your computer turn on at a specific time. I suggest you look through BIOS settings to see if such an option exist.

Another option is to use the low power feature called Sleep and have Windows awake from it automatically at a specified time:

That's interesting info.  With my new computer, I'm not worried about the disk space needed to hibernate if it'll save more energy and wear-and-tear than sleep.

Still , the  question remains:  is there some way to say "Come out of sleep/hibernation at 6am every day?"

    Thanks.

Or does Sleep do this as well?  If so, that might be the simplest solution and make it even easier to pick up where I left off the night before.

Sleep stores some info, but keeps most in memory, powers down most parts of the computer,

    but not completely.

Hibernate stores everything and powers down completely.

Hibernate needs more disk space (to store everything). Waking from sleep may be faster

than waking from hibernation. Waking from either is often faster than starting up from

    complete shut down.

Another big thing is that I like all my email downloaded when i get to the computer rather than waiting.  With numerous emails being checked in Outlook and a ton of spam for it to filter, i want that happening periodically before I get to the computer (sometimes a client will wake me and I have to leap right into work mode...not great to be saying, "Can you give me five minutes while my email downloads?")

I looked in the bios and didn't see  anything like this, apparent but I'm no techy.

So where could I tell Sleep to stop sleeping at 6am?

See Andre da Costa's reply, and I'll add two more suggestions:

    1. You could keep it on over the night.
    2. Instead of plugging it into the wall outlet, plug it into a timer

(the kind usually used to turn lights on) that's plugged into the wall

    outlet.
