YouTube videos aren't showing any visuals, just audio. Help?

I just bought my brand new Samsung computer with Windows 7. I've had it for two weeks and I've encountered a problem that's a big deal to me. I watch a lot of YouTube videos and just yesterday I went onto YouTube, signed into my account, and just clicked on a video. The loading wheel "stalled" or something like that and the screen remained black, but I could hear the audio just fine. The "time-bar" at the bottom of the video was also acting strange too: everytime I dragged my mouse back and forth along it, all the numbers would pop-up and not go away. What makes this even weirder is that when I go to the person's channel to watch the video, it works fine. This happens for any video, signed-in or out; I've also tried restarting my computer but that didn't work either.

This is really strange, and I'm not at all pleased that a brand new computer is already started acting this way. I've done nothing to it: no viruses, sketchy websites, odd downloads (all my downloads have been school files and updates recommended by my computer), etc.

Please help, thank you.

    Never mind I got it.

If anyone else is having this problem, for future reference:

Go to the channel that the video was posted on-->Right Click on the player-->Click Settings-->Uncheck the box next to "Enable Hardware Acceleration."

Thanks for the link! Honestly, I should have done that in the first place.

I am having a similar problem in that all of my videos are showing a blank green screen. I have searched on what I should do and everyone has said to do what you did. however, when I right click, I am not given the option to go to the settings and I am very stuck on what to do. I was wondering if you would be able to help, thanks

I checked out all of the instructions, and to the extent of my computer knowledge, I have the latest version of flash (shockwave too) and WMP/Quicktime, iTunes, etc. are not set as my default players. Basically, the video is freezing or something and a weird, white bar forms at the bottom of the black screen every time the "wheel" moves around for a second or two and then stops. This problem also occurs in Mozilla, but I just checked Internet Explorer, and videos work on there (but I don't want to use internet explorer for my browsing).
