I have a Belkin F5U409 USB to Serial adapter. I have just spent 3 hours trying to find a driver that will work with windows 7 and have come up with nothing. does anyone know how to make this device work on Windows 7??? thank you

the compatibility report created by windows says that this device should work with windows 7 however this is not the case.

I have tried downloading many different drivers and none of them seem to work. I also tried to let the windows update find the driver and that failed as well. Thank you for your help

If your trying Windows 7 or Vista 64bit, you'll find Belkin don't have 64bit drivers. However, Belkin don't make the drivers anyway. You can checkout this blog post on how to get it working under 64bit Windows: http://www.clearchain.com/blog/posts/how-to-use-a-belkin-f5u409f5u409-cu-usb-to-pda-serial-converter-in-visawindows-7-64bit-mac-osx-10
