I have several sub-folders in the list on the left hand side of the screen  (which comes up when I open the windows live mail program).  Can you please help me to remove these sub-folders from their folders and display themas separate folders, so that I no longer have any indented items.

Many thanks for your help,

gillettern

Left click on the folder. Drag it up to the account name above an let it go. It will end up as a regular folder in alpha order.

I had the same problem, and finally realized I could re-create the same file name, transfer the contents over from the sub-folder (one page at a time), and then delete the sub-folder. Now the folder - with the same name as before - appears as a main folder (no longer indented). I didn't understand the previous answer which involves dragging the label "up to the account name." Wherever I dragged it within the list it still ended up indented.

Sounded good, and I marked it helpful, solved my problem.  However, it doesn't work.  At least not when I left clicked on the indentedand moved it to the next higher unindented folder.  I tried moving it to everything high in the folder column, like FOLDERS, without luck.
