APPLE'S MAGIC MOUSE - WILL IT WORK ON WINDOWS?

I am running Windows 7 on two different laptops and would like to buy the Apple Magic Mouse(wireless).  Will it work with Windows if I install drivers from the third party sites I see on line ?

I like to hear from someone who has tried it.  Some reviews say it works...some say it does not.

Since some Apple systems have both the MAC and Windows systems installed...I don't understand why Apple does not provide the drivers to this mouse will work with both.

    Hello Greg,

    Apple's magic mouse will not work With Windows 7 or for that matter any Windows Operating System. It is specifically built for Mac users and not Windows users.

    The system requirement for Apple's magic mouse has been discussed in Apple's website

    System Requirements

        * Mac computer with Bluetooth wireless technology

        * Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0* or Mac OS X v10.6.1 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0

        * Existing keyboard and mouse for setup

        * Two AA batteries (included)

    For more information on Apple's magic mouse visit the following website :http://www.apple.com/magicmouse/

    You are all dumb... sorry but true. Apple does not officialy say that the Magic Mouse will work on Windows, no duh, they are Apple and this meens nothing. The Magic Mouse will work on Windows. I myself am useing the Magic Mouse on my Window 7 notebook. My notebook PC has a Bluetooth built in (if you dont have bluetooth built in or even have a desk top, you can get a Bluetooth jack) and Windows reconized the mouse as a Apple mouse. To get the touch scroll function to work on my PC, I downloaded a modified driver that was made for Windows for Boot Camp. Here is the link on full instructions.

    Its funny because I'm using a wireless magic mouse on a computer running windows 7 to scroll around this page and a wireless apple keboard to type this. :)

    I followed the Boot Camp instructions and still don't have use of my Magic Mouse.

    Hello Greg,

    I am running both Mac OS and Windows 7 on an iMac via Boot Camp. Both the Apple wireless keyboard and Magic Mouse work. I'm not sure if you are trying to run the Magic Mouse on a PC platform solely or if you have a set up like mine. If you are running a Mac simply use Boot Camp to update all of your Windows drivers.
