Hi,

  1. Are you trying to reboot the laptop or reinstall the operating system?

If you want to reboot the laptop, then I would suggest you to follow these steps to reboot the laptop.

a.     Click on start, on the right bottom corner you will find a button to shut down with a small arrow towards right side.

b.    Click on that arrow, you will find an option to restart the computer.

c.     Click on restart.

I have an Acer windows 7 laptop, and I need to reboot it. When I first got the laptop I did create the recovering disks, because it did not come with any. So I am wondering how do I reboot it, because on my old acer laptop (which was not windows 7 it was just windowd xp) to reboot you needed to press F12, but on my current lapto(the windows 7 one) it wont do anything.
