Don't be afraid to try and hope for the best.
Not compatible on the website, just means they haven't tested it and/or certified it because it is such an old scanner. I actually got this model to work with Win 7 32 bit, so I decided to try to get it to work myself with Win 7 64-bit.
As it happens, I just got it working today with a new build. Install all updates, and then install the DR-2050c 64 bit drivers. Run the setup and the system will recognize the DR-2080C. You'll have to use the 2050C Twain drivers, but its working for fax,
as well as Paperport Pro 12.1.
I had to play with settings to get it working like it did in 32 bit, but it actually worked better using the 64-bit drivers than it did with the 32bit drivers.
