    Hi PaalBucher,

As per the Microsoft Windows 7 compatibility center the scanner is not compatible with Windows 7.

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/default.aspx

There are also no drivers available for the scanner in the Canon website.

I would suggest that you contact the Canon support for more information about the scanner compatibility under Windows 7.

Don't be afraid to try and hope for the best.

Not compatible on the website, just means they haven't tested it and/or certified it because it is such an old scanner.  I actually got this model to work with Win 7 32 bit, so I decided to try to get it to work myself with Win 7 64-bit.

As it happens, I just got it working today with a new build.  Install all updates, and then install the DR-2050c 64 bit drivers.  Run the setup and the system will recognize the DR-2080C.  You'll have to use the 2050C Twain drivers, but its working for fax, as well as Paperport Pro 12.1.

I had to play with settings to get it working like it did in 32 bit, but it actually worked better using the 64-bit drivers than it did with the 32bit drivers.

    Good Luck!

so this is odd ... althought the link above didn't display any drivers, selecting either of the "otehr ImageFormula" items from the dropdown menu at right does display drivers for...

    2080

and then if you reselect 2050C from the newly populated dropdown, it does show the 2050C drivers ... geez.
