where's the download for photo story 3.1 (for Windows 7, not XP)?

Now that I've learned from your site that Photo Story version 3.1 64 bit should work for my new Windows 7, I can't find a page with the actual 'DOWNLOAD' button - only links to a general info page or Windows Live Photo Gallery come up. Can you pls provide a direct link to the page with the download prompt? (And I'm assuming photo story is still free.) Thanks!

    Try the following link:

(FWIW...it's always a good idea to create a System

Restore point before installing software or updates)

    PhotoStory 3 For Windows

    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=92755126-a008-49b3-b3f4-6f33852af9c1

(runs on XP, Vista and Win7)

Here's a link that should be a direct download:

Ah, while I've got your ear - what 'bad thing' happens that would show you that you need to Restore your system? What are the signs, e.g. computer freezes??

You are terrific, thanks J - now I will take up the practice of making Restore Points and...it was good to see my old friend Photo Story up and running again! xx

Sounds like you have it under control  :o)  After clicking Create

there will be a short wait and then just click Close and you're

    done.

    See the following article:

Thanks J - will try that, but want to follow your 'restore point' advice first - this is new to me, so, um, how do I do that? Do I go to 'systems properties' - 'protection' then 'create'? And then it does the rest itself?
