my network information shows "Unknown" and "The dependency service or group failed to start" i can't connect to the internet.. how to fix that?

i tried to start up the diagnostic policy service on automatic.. but when i click start i receive error messgae.. i can't connect to internet.. please help me fix it.

· What is the complete error message?

· How long have you been facing this issue?

· Did you make any recent changes prior to the issue?

Follow the methods listed below:

Method 1: This issue occurs if Windows Socket is corrupted. Resetting WinSock is the fix.

Resetting Winsock has helped lot users in fixing the issue.

Follow these steps:

a. Click “Start”.

b. Type “cmd” in the Start search box.

c. Right-click “cmd” and click “Run as administrator.”

d. Enter the following command and hit “Enter”:

netsh winsock reset

Restart your computer and see if that fixes the issue.

Method 2: Perform a system restore to a point prior to the issue and check if that fixes the issue.
