Press Control-Alt-Delete, select Task manager, if you can see anything like mediaget.exe in Applications or in processes, select it and end it using the button at the bottom.

Scan the computer using your AntiVirus application NOW.

Mediaget is apparently a Torrent downloader [http://mediaget.com/] but I do not find its website particularly convincing.  If as you say, you didn't install it yourself and nobody else could have done then there is malware of some kind on your machine and it is masquerading as an application.  Get rid of the malware using your AV app, Microsoft Security essentials [link at the top of the page] or www.malwarebytes.com  [this last one can often cope with removing malware that your AntiVirus can not].  If this application is active then it is doing something and you don't know what.  If you've been using online banking, for example, then you must regard all your passwords as compromised and need to change them as soon as the malware is removed.

Only if you decide that somebody else installed it i.e. there is a legitimate reason for it being there, open the program window and find the option for "Start with Windows" and clear the option.  You should also be able to stop it running.  At some stage you can also uninstall it in the normal way.

If you cannot find  a way of turning it off then check in your Startup folders

Start menu, hover over the "All programs" entry, right-click, select Open [and do it again to select "Open all users"].  Look through these to find the application's shortcut and delete it.

    Best of luck,
