Where IS the ShockWave Flash Player located??

I'm trying to associate .flv files with the shockwave player.  I have downloaded and installed the player but can't find it!

When asked to define which program to use by default, though I've searched high and low I can't find any executable

program.  I Googled and it said look in Windows Downloaded files.  There IS something there with an .swf extension

but associating it with flv files doesn't work.  I've gone to Programs and Features and it says I have indeed installed

the shockwave player but I still can't any info on where it put it.  Any ideas?  I have temporarily used VLC to view and

associate the files, since Windows Media Player Crashes the system.  This is all for a folder I have of .flv instructional

files I've copied to my hard drive.    I want to be able to just click them at will to play them without bothering with the DVD.

Thanks in advance...

    Hi,

Shock wave flash player is the plug-in which is used to play videos and games on Internet explorer from the internet. If you want to play the flash video you can use any third party browser to view the videos.
