Original title: SFC can't find corrupted files, any help with the CBS log?

So basically when I run SFC/Scannow it says some files are corrupted and lists details in my cbs log.  I need everything to be uncorrupted so I can install all the updates and backup up my harddrive correctly.  I ran chkdsk which said the volume was clean.

How do I attach my CBS?

Use Notepad to read CBS.log  (you may need to run Notepad as the Administrator).

To find the errors, go to the end of the file (Ctrl+End) then use ‘Find’ (Ctrl+F) to check for the words 'cannot repair', use search ‘Up’ to search upwards from the end of the file.

You can analyse the SFC log file here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928228/en-us

The corruption is in the file wdigest.dll and if you look at the last error listed, even the source file in the winsxs folder is corrupt.

Google comes up with plenty of solutions, but be aware of rogue sites/downloads. Also be aware that it may have been caused by malware on your computer.

Ok, so, I looked at it, and here are the troublemaker files.  How do I get these back or fix these.  I really need help as these problems are the most likely cause of me not being able to backup my harddrive or install updates.  I tried using the windows cd to repair, but it doesnt repair problems like these.  Any help?

I cant find any solutions you speak of.  I have looked over and over.  Any help here?  Anyone else?
