how to install additional x86 driver for hp laserjet 4200/4300

Running the aforementioned printer on a shared network that is so far comprised of windows 7 systems and Ive been trying to add a xp(32-bit) to work with the

printer but to no avail. I went on the hp website downloaded th xp driver on both computers as i was told by hp support rebooted the computers and am lost as

to what further steps to take(When i use the printer properties menu and try to add the newly installed driver i get an error message with something to the effect

of " the printer drriver is not found in the specifid location").

Any tips on the installation process or even correct drivers and links would be apperciated.
