    Hi Amanda,

I would suggest you to download it from the manufacturer website.

    Step 1: ABBYY FineReader 6.0 Sprint/Sprint Plus

    http://www.abbyy.com/support/finereader_sprint/60

Step 2: Make older programs run in this version of Windows

Since the above program is compatible till Windows XP, you might probably not able to install it in Windows 7 directly. You need to choose the Windows XP compatibility level to install this program.

Hope this information is helpful and let me know if you need any further assistance.

This will just take you to a v 14 download.  go to the manufacturers website and either locate their archived versions (the page goes back to v 9 i believe.  for older versions make the call) or call the manufacturer and ask them to send you a link for the download to your email addressABBY Phone: (408) 457 9777

ABBYY Fine Reader is OCR (optical character recognition) software.  It isn't free, but a version is often bundled with scanners.

If you can't get a copy of whatever version you had from the manufacturer of your scanner, it seems that ABBYY makes a free trial version available as well as offering an on-line service that offers "a number of conversion pages" free before you're required to pay a fee.

Step 1 is no longer valid. The link is broken!
