Thanks David. Problem is not with Start-up. Temp. Repair iTunes
Registry Errors with CCleaner/iolo Registry Repair prior to Shutdown.
Startup goes without a hitch. Scan Registry with CCleaner and iolo,
immediately after Startup, Registry Errors not present. Play on
Internet for a half an hour, Computer starts to slow down and get
sluggish. Multiple Repeat of Commands required to perform Tasks.
Check for Registry Errors, and they are there. Temp Repair with
CCleaner/iolo, Computer returns to normal. Wait half an hour,
same symptoms, repeat same process. Computer restoration is
immediate, but only temporary. I have looked at REGEDIT, making sure
not to change anything. Verified that those exact Registry Errors
listed above are present in Registry. .aif/.aifc/.aiff........etc, are indeed
iTunes Music File Classifications. No residual iTunes Programs
remain on C Drive, they are gone.
Finally found solution, but it is tricky. Downloaded REVO Uninstall
Program.-30 day free trial. Part of REVO Uninstall of existing Programs,
is a Registry Cleaner that removes Registry Files associated with
uninstalled Programs. Will not work unless Program to uninstall exists
first in Control Panel. Alas, had to re-install iTunes, then uninstall
using REVO. Uninstall iTunes Programs, then delete iTunes Registry
Files using REVO. Extremely dangerous, chance of cross references
with other Files in Registry. Almost like a Frontal Lobotomy, but if
Re-installing OS is last resort, might be worth a try. It did work
eliminating iTunes INVALID FILE CLASSIFICATIONS, and UNUSED
FILE EXTENSIONS. It did leave 117 uncorrected Registry Errors, but I
easily permanently Repaired these leftovers with CCleaner/iolo
Registry Repair. These were easy to correct, the INVALID FILE/
UNUSED FILE EXTENSIONS were impossible to repair with iolo/
CCleaner. Been scanning Registry every half an hour-zero Registry
Errors, and none have returned. The Patient appears to be recovering nicely from the Frontal Lobotomy. The fact that I am typing this is a good
sign. You have to be exstremely careful, and cautious using REVO on
Registry. Need to follow it step by step-no mistakes! I am now officially
Divorced from any trace of iTunes. I will never get permanently attached
at the hip, to a Music Store like that again. No thanks to zero help from Microsoft!
