Is it safe to delete crwl and gthr files
Whilst trying to clear a virus off my system I have discovered a number of CRWL and GTHR files which appear as if they may be related to the virus application I was getting rid of. (I am thinking these files were in the process of "crawling" through my system to "gather" info and/or files off my computer - but thisis just a hunch).
1. Am I correct in my "guesstimation" of what these files/virus were doing?
2. Is it safe to delete these files
I found these files in
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\Windows\GatherLogs\System Index
Many thanks for any help or answers anyone can give.
