    Hi TimothyWu,

    ·         Did you make any software or hardware changes on the computer prior to this issue?

    ·         What happens when you try to format the hard drive to NTFS format?

Let’s follow these methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1

    a. You may connect the USB hard drive to a different computer.

    b. If you have any important data in the hard drive, take a backup of the data in any external device like CD or DVD, hard drive etc.

    c. Then try to format the drive to NTFS format.

    i. Double-click on Computer.

ii. Right-click on your hard drive, and then select Format.

iii. In the File system list, click NTFS format.

    iv. Click Start.

    v. Click OK to start formatting.

vi. Click OK again after format is completed.

vii. Then connect the external drive to the other computer & check if it’s working fine.

    Method 2

You may also run a disk check & check if the issue persists.

    Hope the information helps.

Please post back and let us know.

    Hi

Try bellow steps to get back your pendrive. I recommend you to use windows 7 to do this process.

1, Connect your pendrive to system.

2, Go to ‘RUN’ type ‘cmd’ and hit enter.

3  Give the following command in the command window.

    ü  diskpart and hit enter.

ü  List disk and hit enter.

4, Identyfy your pen drive number in the list and type ‘select disk 3’ where disk 3 is your pendrive.

5, Type ‘clean’ and hit enter. (It will delete your data in pendrive.)

6, Type ‘create partition primary’ and hit enter.

7, Type ‘active’ and hit enter.

8, Type ‘format fs=fat32 quick’ hit enter.

9, ‘Type ‘Active’ and hit enter.
