When I hover over icons on the taskbar, I can preview open screens only with the name of the open screen.  I prefer to have the previews showing as thumbnails.  How can I change this?

    Hi

Were the Thumbnails ever showing on the Taskbar?

Taskbar Thumbnails are a function of the Aero interface. See the following link for details.

If you had the thumbnails showing and they just stopped working, perform the following.

To fix this problem automatically, use the Aero Troubleshooter.

Open the Aero troubleshooter by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel.

In the search box, type Troubleshooter, click Troubleshooting, and then, under  Appearance and Personalization, click Display Aero desktop effects.  If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

In the resulting window, select the Advanced link at the bottom of the window and place a check mark in the Apply repairs automatically option.

Click the Next Button to run the troubleshooter.

    Regards.
