    Hi,

Intel has not released Windows 7 compatible drivers for Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 900 graphics controller.

You may install Intel driver update utility and check.

You can also download Vista compatible drivers from the link below and try to install it on Windows 7 in Vista compatibility mode.

Follow these steps to install the driver in Vista compatibility mode:

    a. Right-click on the installation file and select properties.

    b. Now click on the compatibility tab.

    c. Under compatibility mode, check “Run this program in compatibility mode for”.

    d. From the drop down menu, select Windows Vista.

    e. Click Apply and then click OK.

Refer this link for more information:

Please get in touch with **Intel support** for further assistance.

    Dear Afzal Taher,

Thank you very much for the solution.  I upgraded my Dell Inspiron 1300 to Windows 7 Professional

and found the display options very limited (only 2).  I followed your Vista compatibility diver link and everything went smoothly.  The display was strange until I changed the display settings then it was perfect.

    Regards,

    David.

I have a Lenovo x41t with Win 7 Enterprise on it and to get sleep to work you need the correct video driver for your card. Lenovo/IBM has nothing but the link to the HP GMA 910 driver worked fine. It now sleeps as it should with lid closure and using FN

    • F4.

I have done the same thing with the ALPS touchpad driver when Win 7 conflicts. Get it from another manufacturer. Toshiba specifically. The whole point is to make it work reliably even if the manufacturer has moved on for more money & market share. The oldest machine I support with Win 7 are 2 Dell D400 laptops. No problems. David R.
