To capture screenshots in windows media player 12

How can I capture screenshots from windows media player12??

There is no Advanced button in Performance tab of options in WMP12.........

Windows for home | Previous Windows versions | Music, photos, and video

    In addition to the above reply, to capture a screen shot while using Windows Media Player 12, you may press the Print Screen key on the keyboard and then paste the image into Windows Paint.

    Print Screen (Alt+Print Screen, Snipping tool, OneNote 2010) - they all create screenshots with black screen. Windows Media player contorls are visible fine, but Video content is not shown - just black background. This was a typical issue in WMP 10 and they way to overcome it was to go to Options > Performance > Advanced and either disable overlays. Now in WMP12 there is no "Disable overlays" - so how can you capture the screenshot?

    Hi i really would like to no how to do this as i really want to avoid downloading tools. Surly there is a simple way to do this. When i was running on xp i just used the ctrl+c to copy then ctrl+p to paste shortcut now it doesnt work for me on Windows 7. There is no Disable overlays option, Please help

    Just for cuiosity - have you tried to press Alt+Print ?

    It creates a screen-capture in windows clipboard. You might be able to insert the screenshot of your wmp 12-window into a graphic program like windows paint.
