It means you have two devices that have the same IP address on your network. It just means two machines are configured with the same IP (do you have a PS3, XBox360, another machine/laptop?).
Each device needs a unique IP address to work properly on a network. A reboot will typically fix the problem, unless both devices have their IP set to a static address.
Here's how you check/change it (on Windows XP):
- Click START >> Network and Internet Connections >> Network Connections.
- Double-click your LAN or Internet connection.
- Click Properties.
- Click the General tab.
- Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and click Properties.
- Click on the General tab.
- Select Obtain IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.
- OK out of all the windows and when you're back at the desktop, reboot your system.
