Hi,

If you're using a scanner with a document feeder and Windows Fax and Scan, you can scan multiple pages to a single file by scanning to the TIFF (.tif) file format. For more information, see:

Scan a document or photo with Windows Fax and Scan**http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Scan-a-document-or-photo-with-Windows-Fax-and-Scan******

If you use Windows Fax and Scan and a flatbed scanner, you can likely scan multiple images to separate files. Not all flatbed scanners have this ability, so you might need to contact the scanner manufacturer to obtain a driver so that your flatbed scanner can provide this option.

So.. I had the same problem, and finally figured it out. After scanning in your multiple page documents, open with Windows Photo Viewer. Then print to a .pdf. I use a free PDF writer called Cute PDF, and works great. It creates a .pdf file of your multi-page fax that you can email or send via fax from there. Thank God I figured it out. Terrible program from Microsoft to just save first page.

So what if I want to save as a JPEG? There's no way to save multiple pages? How about saving to a PDF, is there no way to do that either?

This program has a *horrible* interface. Why doesn't it just do the obvious and save *all* of the pages I scanned? Why would I ever want to save only the first page?

This is the worst answer ever.

There is no real solution given, These new versions of  Windows Office Picture Manager and windows photo viewer are terrible.

With the old programs you could use these types of files so much easier.

Aren't the new versions suppose to make things easier?

When I use windows fax and scan to scan pages. You can preview all the multiple pages scanned but when emailing or saving you can then only see the first page.

I have the same problem with Windows Fax and Scan when saving to a folder on my hard drive or forwarding a multi-page fax.

Only the first page appears when you open the saved item or e-mail attachment.

The only way I can open all pages is to open Windows Fax and Scan and open the fax there.

    I have Win 7 Ultimate, 32 bit.

I would greatly appreciate a solution.

The problem, I've discovered, is with Microsoft Office Picture Manager, which is the default I have for opening .tiff files. It only displays the first page of a multi-page fax saved on my hard drive as a .tiff file or as a .tiff attachment to an e-mail.

If I open it with Windows Photo Viewer all pages are displayed

    Don
