Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible to migrate (interforest) from W2012 domain to W2019 domain using ADMT. The migration include users, groups, PCs, servers.

Thanks in advance!

    Hello @SCCMAdmin ,

    Thank you for posting here.

Q:I was wondering if it is possible to migrate (interforest) from W2012 domain to W2019 domain using ADMT.
A:Do you mean forest functional levels are 2012 and 2019? If so, it is supported.

In my test lab, I configured migrate (interforest) from W2012 R2 domain to W2016 domain using ADMT, and I can migrate successfully.

    Considerations:

1.We should install ADMT and SQL database on one member server in target domain.

2.In my lab, I install ADMT tool and SQL 2017, in your case, you can select SQL 2017 or another SQL version.

3.Before deploy ADMT, we need to set up External or Forest trust, to setup a forest trust both domains will need to be at a 2003 Forest Functional level or higher.

4.We suggest you had better deploy the ADMT in test lab, because the deploy steps is a little complex. So that we can deploy it better in your production AD environement.

    Hi,

    Thanks @Anonymous for your reply.

I will try the references in a test environment prior to production environment and tell the results.
