I saw this on another website... this works perfectly!

When booting I get error message under "asus setup" 105814 Log.iniis Lost?

Hi, you probably ran Ccleaner or similar and deleted this log file from your temporary folder, that is in use by a scheduled task. Open Task scheduler and expand the" task scheduler library". Open Asus and select the " i-setup" task , delete it, and you are done.

I have dealt with a large number of installations that displayed this behaviour: Some irritating error message or some severe malfunction while in Normal Mode, perfect operation while in Safe Mode. In each and every case the culprit was a startup task or some rogue service. Yours is the odd one out. I can see these options for you:

    a) See if System Restore will fix it, or

    b) Wait for some other respondent to offer a solution, or

    c) Live with the irritation, or

    d) Restore the machine to factory condition.

This was my EXACT fix for the EXACT situation.
