I am trying to use a Blu-Ray rewritable disc Verbatim BD-RE, fresh out of the box, but it is not recognised nor can I format it.

My system says it supports BD-RW is there a difference?

    Hi,

BD-RE is the newer format of rewritable blue ray disk.

A BD-RE drive will write to either BD-RE or BD-RW.

BD-RW will only write to BD-RW

What exactly happen when you try to play Blu-Ray rewritable disc?

BD-RE is not recognized and you can’t format it

Were you able to play BD disc before if yes what changes was made to your computer recently?

What player do you use to view the BD discs?
