When you search, right click on the result and Send To | Desktop (create shortcut).

You can find your calculator by  typing this in the search bar  after you click the start button "C:*Windows*\system32\calc.exe" minus the quotation marks it is in the windows sytem 32 files. Good luck! It worked for me and I am running windows 7 home version.

There are so many ways to do it.

    1. Press 'windows key' + 'R' and type 'calc' hit enter.
    2. Click on Windows icon (pearl) and type 'calc' then hit enter.
    3.  Click on Windows icon (pearl) --> All Programs --> Accessories --> Calculator.
    4. Browse to C:\Windows\System32\calc.exe and double click on it.

    Hope that helps.

Type in calculator in the search bar. When you see it in the list, you can right click on it and send a shortcut to the desktop.
