I keep getting error code 678 when trying to connect to the internet.

Using a new D-Link DSL modem supplied to me by my new service provider DSL Extreme.

Have Windows XP Professional installed on my machine.

I have downloaded the updated drivers for my Nvidia n-force network adapter.

When I try to connect to the internet I get error code 678,and cannot connect.

Have run scans routinely for any virus or malware,With none detected using Norton 360.

In addition to performing other trouble shooting for error code 678.

How do I correct this error 678?

    You may refer this link:

You may receive Error 678 or Error 769 when you try to connect to the Internet or when you try to browse the Internet after you install Windows XP Service Pack 2
