Hardware Failure/NMI Parity Check BSOD only after installing latest drivers. What is strange, it happens when autoplay boots when inserting a memory stick/usb flash drive or clicking on the USB Wireless adapter (Netgear WNA1000m) icon in the taskbar.

This is on an IBM Intellistation M

8GB RAM

Dual Core 2.44Ghz

windows XP upgraded to Win7 Pro.

Any feedback appreciated.

    many  thanks for the response.

I rolled back drivers it worked temporarily. Then windows updated automatically.  I rolled back the drivers and it continues to give me the BSOD

Here is the message on the blue screen:

    *** Hardware Malfunction

Call your hardware vendor for support

    NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Error

*** The system has halted ***

Everything seems to work ok in Safe Mode. I will try the clean boot to determine the problem.

However, i have ordered a new Quadro graphics card as i need a faster card, and will install it and see what happens.

I was able to determine that it crashed whenever I right clicked on the desktop to change the background or use the gadgets. Anything graphics intensive, i guess.

i will post my results. Fingers crossed.

    Hi,

    1.     What is the complete error message?

I would suggest you follow the methods below and see if it works fine.

    Method 1

You can try Roll back your graphics drivers and see if the issue still persists.

    a)     Click Start.

    b)    In the search box type Device Manager.

    c)     Locate Display adapters  and expand the chevron.

    d)    Right click graphics adapter and go to Properties.

    e)     Click Roll back under Drivers tab.

    f)     Click OK.

    Method 2

You can perform clean boot and see if the issue still persists.
