Need Driver for Altec Speakers

How do you get a set of Altec Lansing REV A00 speakers to work on a gateway Eseries PC?  I can't find the driver anywhere.

    Speakers dont use drivers, your soundcard or motherboard uses sound drivers.

    If the PC speaker volume is muted or turned off there will be no output to the speakers
