Can't type words while playing word games

I am having a problem lately with my keyboard no longer allowing me to type words into word games.  I have been able to do so in the past, but for some reason that ability has stopped functioning.  I can type in the first letter for a word, in a game such as Test Twist, then my keyboard will not type in any additional letters.

I have replaced my keyboard today and I am still having the same issue, so I am guessing something within Windows has changed to stop the keyboard from working.  I have been unable to find a solution and I truly hope someone here can help me out.

    Hi Sue,

    • Are you able to use your keyboard without any issues in other applications on your computer?

    Check with the game manufacturer to know if there's any setting that has to be changed in the game.

    I have tried to use system restore, but for some reason that no longer works and does not allow me to restore my pc to a previous date.

    You might try a system restore point to before the problem with the Word games was happening.

    To choose a System Restore point,

    ·         From the Desktop click the Start button

    ·         In the Search Field type “System Restore” and hit enter

    ·         Once System Restore is open, select the option “choose a different restore point” and hit next

    Once on the next screen, pick a restore point to go back to when it last worked for you. Once you select the restore point, click next, then select finish, this will start the restore process.

    Hi Divya,

    Yes, I am able to use my keyboard for all other applications.  Up until about two weeks ago, I was able to play the Word Games on it as well.  It just suddenly stopped working for any Word game I try to play.

    I will check with the game manufacturers and see if something has changed there.  It is actually two different games by two different manufacturers, so the chance is small that it is an outside issue.
