I have a program that keeps telling me that MCI32.OCX is not valid. How do I repair this?

When I try to open a game I get; Componet "MCI32.OCX" not correctly registered: file is missing or invalid

    Hi aruba408, 

    • With which program/application do you receive this error message?
    • Were you able to launch the game without any issues earlier?
    • If yes, what's the recent change that was made to your computer after which this issue has started to occur? 

    The best way to fix MCI32 problems is to first uninstall and then reinstall the application that is causing the MCI32.ocx errors on the system.

    Once you uninstall the program, download and install the latest updated version of the program from the manufacturer's site.
