Hi,

What is the make and model of the router?

WPA stands for Wi-fi Protected Access. In a wireless network, the WPA key is a password that protects the network from outside intruders. If a wireless router is set up with WPA encryption, you need the WPA key for network access and to make changes to the settings of your network.

I would suggest you refer the link and check if it helps.

I would also suggest you contact HP for support.

I would also suggest you contact the manufacturer of Router for WPA key.

Via an Ethernet cable connected PC, access the router's internal web pages used for setting the configuration.  You then should be able to see the wireless network security settings and possibly the passphrase.

I take your point, but I did say, "some" and "not all". I've had an older router which has had the passphrase stuck on it.

Most routers do not have a passhrase on a sticker.  They come with no wireless security set up.  You probably are confusing the router's Wireless Protected Security PIN number.  This is not a passphrase but a method to quickly "request" the passphrase from to router.  Both the router and the "destined" wireless device need to have a WPS button / option.

Also, some wireless routers have the passphrase on a sticker on the back or bottom of the router...but not all.
