epson r320 printer driver

Information from website is that printer driver to be used is on the Win7 install disk. The updated driver will not work according to best information. When trying to use the printer, error message says that printer driver for the print cd feature (labeling feature) is not installed. Given that the updated drivers from microsoft.com are not supposed to work, what next? Do you put the Win7 install disk in a drive, obviously don't install it but rather "open" the files to find out where the heck the printer driver resides? I've tried the "Have Disk" in the advanced setup section for the printer which leads to my question - do we then put the Win7 install disk into a drive and navigate to a printer driver folder?

The most current drivers for the Epson R320 and Windows 7 64-bit are available through Windows Update and the Devices and Printers ' Add Printer function.

    1. Click Start or tap the  key and select Devices and Printers from the right-hand list. When theDevices and Printers windows opens and populates, click Add Printer from the command options across the top.
    2. When the Add Printer window open, first select Add a local printer. Next select a port and click Next.
    3. At the next window, first click the Windows Update button and wait a few minutes until the list repopulates itself. It will look like nothing is going on, but it is working. Once the lists have refreshed, select Epson for the manufacturer and Epson Stylus Photo R320 (M) from Printers.
    4. When you click Next the printer driver should install and you will be left with the final screen where you can run a test print.

Epson Support has the Epson Print CD v2.0, Epson Easy Photo Print v1.51 and Epson EasyPrint v3.10 software for Windows 7 64-bit available for download here. The driver on that page is listed as a Windows XP 64-bit, not Windows 7 64-bit.

I have run into exactly the same problem.  Any solution?  Did Microsoft get back with you to provide guidance?

I am also trying to install this printer on Windows 7 64-bit. I tried to follw the above directions but had the following issues:

    1. What do I select for Local Port? There is no generic USB port. I added a port.
    2. Epson Stylus Photo R320 (M) appears in the list, but selecting it asks me for a location for the driver. I put in the Windows 7 disk, but that did not work.
    3. I clicked onWindows Update but then the printer was no longer present in the list.

I would appreciate any help since I would like to continue to use this printer to print on CDs.
