    Hi Tomrutherford,

    ·         Which version of Windows 7 are you using? Is it 32-bit or 64-bit operating system?

Firstly, I would suggest you to run Windows Updates to install the drivers and check if it helps:

Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isnt-working-properly

The Lexmark Z35 Inkjet Printer is only compatible with Windows 7 32-bit operating system but not compatible with Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

You may also refer the link below for Frequently asked questions (FAQs) related to Windows 7 Compatibility and the steps you could carry out in case the software/hardware is not listed in Windows 7 Compatibility Center.

For now, I’d suggest you to download the Windows XP drivers and install the same in Windows XP compatibility mode on Windows 7.

To install the software (drivers) in Windows XP Compatibility mode,

    1.       Right click the installation file and select Properties.

    2.       Click the Compatibility tab.

    3.       Under Compatibility mode, check the “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” option.

    4.       Select Windows XP (Service Pack 2) or Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the available options.

    5.       Click Apply and OK.

Refer the link below for more information on compatibility mode:

Here’s the link for downloading Lexmark Z25 Inkjet Printer drivers:

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, I’d suggest you to contact Lexmark. Refer the link below for details:

    Hope this information helps.
