    Hi,

The driver is not compatible with Windows7 64 bit.

You can check with the below link:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Search.aspx?l=en-us&s=maxtor%20one%20touch%20iii%20mini%20driver%20&type=Hardware&os=64-bit

I would suggest you to download the drivers in vista compatibility center and check if it helps.

Refer the below link to download the driver and check if it helps.

In the midst of searching for answers to this problem, I tried a couple things others posted in answers on various sites.  1.  I had password protected my maxtor OneTouch 4 mini 250gb.  I plugged it into my 32 bit computer and removed the password. 2.  I then plugged it into my 64 bit computer with my Canon camera cord (1 USB end into the computer and the smaller USB for the external drive.)  A screen popped up that asked if I wanted to "Scan and Fix OneTouch (E:)?  I clicked on continue without scanning and voila!  i can see my files.  One set was in the Maxtor Backup folder and another set in the Maxtor Sync folder.  3.  Using the Maxtor power cord also worked.

I think the solution is to remove the password.  Go figure.  Good luck!
