i have an LG Vortex with android OS 2.2.1. My PC desktop is Windows Vista service pack 2. i have a 3g Mobile Hotspot on my android smartphone, and would like to connect my PC to my phone wirelessly to be able to benefit from the hotspot and connect to the internet...An answer ASAP would be greatly appreciated. If i can't do that my phone also allows me to connect to a VPN. HOW can i set up my PC and phone to connect to each other within a VPN??

    Hi

If your Android device is set as an Hot spot and configured to tether the Internet, connecting to it with a PC is just like any WIFI connection.

Using your Vista Wireless capacity you look for the Phone WIFI SSID (Wireless name) and you connect to the Phone's WIFI.

    For Vista, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928429

As for the phone, configuring Android as a Hot Spot is Not so simple, the phone has to be rooted and a special 3rd party tethering apk has to be installed.
