Blurry brushes in Paint for Windows 7

Is there a way of making the edges of brush strokes in Paint for Windows 7 sharp? When I draw a line at the moment the edges of the lines are blurred so it is impossible to make a clear and defined outline. If not, where can I get a copy of an old version of Paint?

    Select the pencil tool rather than brush.
