i'm not looking for a generic answer and i'm not looking for something that involved downloading xp mode and going the whole virtual pc route. i want an honest to go fix, patch or something that will allow me to play the pc version of lego batman on either windows 7 32-bit or windows 7 64-bit. What is happening is i get the intro and opening videos just fine the rest of the game is nothing but black screen with sound and thats about it.  I see this game shows as windows 7 compatible through games for windows live but since i purchased my pc version of lego batman through direct2drive i have no clue as to how to get it to run perfectly without any kind of black screen or glitches or hicups. If anyone knows of a genuine honest to god fix that will allow me to play lego batman without any kind of problems what so ever i would greatly appreciate it.

In OPTIONS - GRAPHICS SETTINGS you just have to disable the ENHANCED GRAPHICS and that is it.

The ENHANCED GRAPHICS must be turned off. My son plays it on my Win7 64bit without a problem

after I turned the enhanced graphics off. Hope this will help you guys.

i'll try installing dx9 directx is updated otherwise since dx11 is all the windows 7 has available and you can't really downgrade to a previous version of directx.  and as far as i know direct2drive doesn't have any kind of community forums that i am aware of.
