I recently installed windows 7.  When starting windows 7 my computer goes to the boot manager and ask me to choose OS.  I have tried to delete earlier OS but windows 7 still will not start automatically.  What can I do?

    Hi,

To make your Windows start directly without prompting for Boot screen, follow the below steps:

    1. Click Start
    2. Click Control Panel
    3. Click System and Security
    4. Click System
    5. Click Advanced System Settings (On left pane), then click on Advanced tab
    6. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings
    7. Now, uncheck "Time to display list of Operating systems" then click on Apply and Ok.

For reference, click on the following link:

Change the default operating system for startup (multiboot)

    Hi,

Is there a way to edit the list of Operating Systems and delete those that are no longer installed? I have multiple entries like this (”Windows Vista/Windows Server 2008/Windows 7”) under "Windows Setup [EMS Enabled]” at the top of the list. My HP PC has a System Partition in addition to my (C:) drive. I have removed all Boot entries from msconfig, but they are still showing up when I use HP's F11 System Recovery option. The "Windows Setup [EMS Enabled]” above may be unique to HP - don't know, but the multiple entries should not be there.

    Thanks,

    OUgrad
