Error service does not exist 0x80070424 on Vista 64 bits for SP2 installation

Hi,

I am running a Vista 64 bits version on SP1. I'm trying to install the SP2 but at the end, it doesn't work. I have a message error that the installation couldn't install and this message: Error service does not exist  0x80070424. I've also installed the file: Windows6.0-KB947821-v4-x64 from windows, and it installed me an udpate but still can't upgrade on SP2.

Do you have any solution ?

    this is the vista operating system installation, upgrading and Activation forum, not for Service Pack help or windows update questions

    I just checked Windows Update and I have the same error; code error: 80070424.

    It makes me impossible to instally any update.

    Maybe I have first to fix that problem in order to install SP2 ?

    Do you have a solution for that ?

    Hi !

    Yep, I tried that on the services.msc and everything is fine.

    I can't understand from where this problem is coming from...
