I've had my computer a while now and like maybe in the first month I've had it everything was fine until my "Program Files (x86)" folder just vanished. I have no idea why it did that because i did nothing to get rid of it. It was just gone one day when i logged on and it annoys me. I tried looking for it somewhere else and i cant find it. I even changed my search options to show hidden folders and files and still couldn't find it. Where did it go and how can i get it back?

Select Show hidden files, folder and drives.
Try this:
Hold down the Windows logo key, then type an R to bring up the Run box. Type (or copy/paste) the following:
c:\program files (x86)
Click OK. Does the folder open? If not, what error do you see?
How did you notice it was gone? It must exist, or your computer would not function.
Unless you have a 32-bit operating system, and then no such folder should ever exist. Are you sure it was there before, and are you sure you have a 64-bit OS?
It's there if it opened... so it's probably just marked as hidden. Try this:
1 - Type folder into your Start menu's search box to find and open the Folder Options.
2 - From the View tab, choose to show hidden files and folders, then click Apply
3 - Edit the Program Files (x86) folder to no longer be hidden.
4 - Back in the Folder Options, turn hidden files back off, then click OK.
It opens
