dell optiplex gx620 sound drivers for windows 7 ultimate

Hi, i have recently clean-installed windows 7 ultimate on a dell optiplex gx620 pc that had xp pre-installed. However, my sound drivers dont work and dell site isnt that friendlly either. video and ethrnet work just fine

    Hi Toniq,

    There should be an audio driver for the Dell Optiplex GX620 on Windows Update. Have you checked there?

    Support for drivers ended with XP as far as the 620 is concerned. Systems which are Win 7 friendly

    You will have to install a Win 7 compatible 3rd party sounc card.

    Anything that does work is courtesy of generic drivers. You most likely have only basic VGA video support, and the NIC might not be working overly well. Check your Internet speed here, and compare it with what you are paying for..

    awesome awesome....i found the way to install audio in the DELL GX620 integrated Audio problem SOLVED!!! ... just search the " Realtek AC'97 Audio Codecs/Drivers 6305 Vista Win7 PG537" (and i also installed the Realtek High Definition Driver) and the Audio Come.....thanks again to Realtek 97.......................

    those who are having intel board 945 audio problem in windows7 ... this might help to them too...
