Res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm
The problem was caused by an IE7 Update. When I went to turn off my desktop I got the message "do not to turn off your computer because an IE7 update is being performed and when it is completed the computer will turn off."
The next morning my browser would not open and I got the Res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htmmessage.
I am running Windows XP and IE7. My laptops work but my desktop doesn’t -- which tells me the problem is inside my desktop.
I unplugged the hub and modem and reconnected them – didn’t work
I contacted my ISP and they ran tests and told me it wasn’t their problem… good bye.
I turned off the Norton Fire Wall – didn’t work
I went to run MSCONFIG and turned everything off – didn’t work
My restore points are gone
Diagnose Connection problem has always been worthless – and still is.
Tried Firefox – didn’t work.
So now what? Based on some threads I've read this is a common problem but I haven't seen any solutions!!!!
