What is the Lexmark model? When was it purchased new?

Is the Windows XP SP3 update installed?

    Hi

Sometime back in April/May 2011 I did two uninstall/reinstalls on the Lexmark printer.  This was as a result of testing with Lexmark's support engineer, following a malfunctioning scanning device on the printer.  Lexmark reported, it's a hardware issue.

Subsequently I unplug the power supply to the printer, unless I require to print (printing still works ok), as when it was plugged in, it fired up randomly at the most ungodly hours, scary!!

Would you suggest I uninstal/reinstal the printer now?

Your original posted errors relate to a Lexmark printer. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer?

    Hi Debleena S

The Event Viewer Reports show Errors from 6 June 2011 ID 7000 & 7009 recurr with almost the same repeated descriptions back to the final date at the end of the report listings themselves.

ID 7000 & ID 7009 varies from one of either of the following descriptions:

lxdn CATSCustConnectService failed to start due to the following error etc etc

    to

IMAPI CD burning COM Service. Service failed to start due to the following error etc et

    to

Windows Search Service failed to start due to the following error etc etc

I noted that a Warning symbol occured on 22/7/2011 ID1003 - Your comuter was not able to renew it's address from the network (from the DHCP server) for the Network Card  etc etc.

The same Warning symbol occured again on 8/6/2011 with the same description as ID1003 above.

I downloaded Nokia PC Suite installer on 16/7/2011 and downloaded BT Broadband Desktop help on  19/8/2011.  This is as far as I can recall the only additional software I have installed since these error codes started.

I will try the sfc/scannow & let you know.

For additional info, I am also experiencing issues with MS Outlook 2003 in that on startup it fails to load and sends me a msg, 'Task POP3 Receiving reported Error (0x800CCC0F).  Connection to the server was interupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or ISP'.  I called BT and have done a FIX via Desktop Help.  Response says No fault found.

However, it recurred today, so something is clearly up!!!

    Hi,

    1.        When exactly do you receive these error code/messages?

    2.        Did you make any software or hardware changes on the computer prior to this issue?

You may run System File Checker [SFC] scan on the computer which will replace the missing or corrupt files & check if the issue persists.

    a. Type ‘cmd’ in Start > Run box. Right click on cmd in the Program list and then select the option Run as administrator.

    b. Type the following command, and then press ENTER:

    sfc /scannow

For more information refer to this link.

Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe)

    Hope the information helps.

Please post back and let us know.
