2010-06-15T17:43:29+00:00 If you drag/drop the missing files manually from Explorer to WMP's library, does that help?
"How do I add files back into my library after I have deleted them from my library only (not the hard drive)?"
Tools - Advanced - Restore deleted library items (press Ctrl+M if you don't see the Tools menu).

2011-08-20T15:04:05+00:00 SharandaBailey: what's the file type of these downloaded files (MP3, WMA, WAV...)? Did you download them to your music folder?
Please make sure that the files aren't listed in the Other media library, or under a different artist (perhaps Unknown).

2010-06-14T00:05:18+00:00 I am also looking for an answer to this. I have been doing some re-organizing and re-naming in my music folders, and WMP has been having some issues keeping up.
To drive the point home: I go into 'Folder' view, and navigate to the folder I just moved a bunch of files to. WMP only has listed 2 files when I can switch to Windows Explorer and see all 20. So I think it is fair to say that WMP is not automatically adding my files. At least not right away.
If you cannot provide a general answer, can you provide an answer to: "How do I add files back into my library after I have deleted them from my library only (not the hard drive)?"
Thanks in advance.

2010-06-09T23:59:10+00:00 That shouldn't be necessary; WMP will automatically add new files to the library (provided that they are in a format recognized by WMP). Is this not happening on your system?
