How do I install Microsoft ActiveSync 4.5 on Windows 7?

My Laptop was just updated to Window 7, I had XP, during the upgrade the helpdesk removed my MicoSoft ActiveSync 4.5.

How to I install it on Windows 7?

    ActiveSync is not compatible with Windows 7, you need to use Windows Mobile Device Center

    this link is for Vista ONLY so please advise a Win 7 download - I dont think microsoft actually made one

    this information is useless as the windows forum has a title of vista and windows 7 download but the link opens to a vista ONLY download, Its a big loop that is fustrating to say the least,
