    Hi,

    1. What steps have you performed in an attempt to resolve the issue?

I'd suggest you follow these steps and check if the issue persists.

    Step 1:

    Open the Playing Audio troubleshooter

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Open-the-Playing-Audio-troubleshooter

    Step 2:

    a. Click Start type  Sound in the Start Search box.

    b. Click  Sound in the search results at the top of the Start menu.

    c. Click the  Playback tab. Notice the check mark next to the default device. For most

users, the default device is  Speakers or headphones. You may select headphones as the device.

    e. Click the  Properties button, then select the Levels tab, and make sure that the volume

is at 100 and not muted.

    f. Now click on the button  Balance present in front of headphones option. Now change the balance settings for the left and right. You may keep number equal for both left and right.

    g. Click  OK to save your settings and to close the Sound dialog box. Check if this resolves the issue.

    Step 3:

Try enabling microphone boost and check if the issue persists.

    a. Right-click the speaker icon on the system tray (bottom right corner of the screen).

    b. Select Recording devices.

    c. Select the headphone and click on Properties button.

    d. In the pop-up window, click on Custom tab.

    e. Place a check mark for Microphone Boost and click on OK button.

Thanks so much.  I am almost embarrased to say that the problem actually ended up being my heaphones themselves.  Were working fine 5 minutes prior to using this adapter so I never thought to check.  But I now have a cheat sheet for further use thanks to your reply.  Again, thank you for taking the time to post help.  It is appreciated.
