I received a file attached with the extension .MSO and I cannot open it by clicking on it.  How do I get it opened?  I use Windows 7 professional with Microsoft Office 2007.

If it's a legitimate Microsoft Office file, you don't need to open it.  It should be embedded in the message, all ready.

I ran across several definitions of this file type:

    http://fileextensionmsohelp.com/

    http://www.fileinfo.com/extension/mso

Personally, I wouldn't even try to open this as this is the type of file that may have macros that may be harmful to your computer.  So if you can read the message all's well and good, otherwise, delete it and contact the owner to get the information you need.

    Cheers
