What is the difference between X86 and X64 versions of Windows 7

Which download patch should I use - "All supported X86 - or x64 - based version of Windows 7" to fix IE9 web page print problem?

I am running Wondows 7 32 bit operating system

    The terminology is very confusing. X64 refers to 64-bit Windows (no surprise there), but X86 confusingly refers to 32-bit.

    So you want the X86 patch.

    You will want to use the x86 version.

    x86 = 32bit operating system.

    x64 = 64bit operating system.

    It needs to be noted that when you install the Internet Explorer 9 for 64bit (x64,) it seems to update the "included" 32 bit version of Internet Explorer "automatically."   You would only need to get the x64 update for updating the 64 bit version of Internet Explorer.

    A patch from where? What patch?

    Any Windows Update from MS would be relevent to the version of win you are running.

    Patch from Micosoft. See attached link

     Two possible downloads are offered fro Windows7 and i do not know teh difference or whcih should select to fix problem with IE9 printing from web page
