Vizio told me that they do NOT supply drivers to use their TV's on a computer. They said we have to get that from the computer company.   My they were so helpful.

Um, are the morons? All the driver needs to do is inquire the tv to know what resolutions and refresh rates it can do. How can this affect the IP/proprietary restrictions?

I set  my Vizio model E371VL up to my computer about 2 months ago, via HDMI plug, when I originally set it up I was getting pop-ups regarding graphics card, and when I went update it, it said it was fine.

More recently the monitor blacks out intermittently, so I went to the vizio home page with my model number to look for a driver, nothing is coming up. My HP windows 10 computer is less than 2 months old; however the tv is about 3.5 years old, so I am wondering if they make it anymore, if not would another driver suffice. Do you have any suggestions

I just plugged in my 32 inch vizio into a hdmi port from the MOBO -Gigbyte ga-z97x  and it worked !

    no special drivers.

dont have a vidio card at all.

new build from newegg - got bad mobo and vid cards, returned the mobo

got a new one elsewhere and then found out the vid card was bad also but

newegg has a 30 day limit on returns and after all the hassle it was past that.

HMMMM  just remembered  hahaha  the new build is with Linux Mint 17.

dont know if that is why it works or not but I also had my xp pc plugged in at one

    point and it worked also.

dont know if this helps - but give it a whirl.

update at 10/16/16.   Did finally get a video card, went to mfg for drivers for Linux

downloaded and hahaha  zip   - blank screen with a underline in the upper left corner

doesn blink or anything.  so,  back to the mobo   wast of nearly 300 for nothing.

its just a bit tougher finding drivers for Linux machines.
